I paint because I cannot not. I have tried the alternative and it wasn’t pretty.

Every series is an act of looking — at myself, at the people who have moved me, at the places that have made me. The subject, underneath everything, is always the same question: what does it mean to be truly seen? To be fully, perfectly imperfectly human.

I work across paint, poetry, sound and occasional conceptual work — whatever the idea demands. Two decades in branding and marketing taught me how narrative lands on people. I use that knowledge now in the service of emotional truth rather than persuasion.

The collections are chapters — each a different angle on the same obsession: restoring depth in a world that rewards surface.

Two directions. One question.

The series work interrogates from the inside out: a question, an obsession, a lens held up to lived experience until something emerges.

The portraits move the other way: outside in, starting with a person, going looking for their humanity.

The Icons of London are a love letter to this city; but the impulse behind them is universal. Every portrait is the same act: looking at someone long enough to find their spirit. That’s what I bring to every commission.
