My name is Nicholas A. Ferguson, a London-based painter working under the name Atelier Artistik NAF. I create contemporary figurative art and portrait art paintings that explore the emotional and psychological dimensions of human experience, working primarily in oil and acrylic.

My practice centres on developing intuitively driven bodies of work that examine inner states, perception, and emotional complexity. These collections are often autobiographical, allowing painting to function as a way of understanding the world I inhabit. Alongside this, my portrait art painting combines sustained observation, symbolism, and emotional presence, resulting in works that move beyond surface likeness.

Working within the conventions of portrait painting while remaining firmly rooted in a contemporary, expressive approach, my work seeks to capture presence, character, and inner truth.
