Born in Dublin, shaped by London — Bacon painted his way through Soho and into art history. My stepmother introduced me to his work, and I went on to study him for my A-levels. His use of colour is extraordinary — violent, tender, alive — and his ability to capture movement in a static image is like nothing else in painting. One of London’s most singular and uncompromising figures.
Each print is produced as a museum-quality giclée on Hahnemühle German Etching fine art paper — chosen for its warm matte tone and tactile surface which honours the intimacy of the original watercolour. Part of a limited edition of 100, numbered and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
Available in A4 and A3, unframed or framed in a black frame with ivory mount.
