Mick Jagger — Icons of London

“I must be careful not to get trapped in the past. That’s why I tend to forget my songs.”

Born in Dartford, shaped by Richmond and Chelsea, Mick Jagger co-founded the Rolling Stones and helped define what London meant to the world in the 1960s. I saw him perform with the Stones in Hyde Park in 2022 — bouncing around the stage with the energy of someone half his age. Still going. Still unmistakably himself.

This portrait is part of Icons of London — a growing watercolour archive celebrating the people who shape the culture, folklore and identity of the city, painted by British-Swiss artist Nicholas a. Ferguson in his twentieth year of living in London.

Each print is produced as a museum-quality giclée on Hahnemühle German Etching fine art paper — chosen for its warm matte tone and tactile surface which honours the intimacy of the original watercolour. Part of a limited edition of 100, numbered and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
